Have you ever caught yourself saying, “There’s this one part of me that feels a certain way… but then there’s this other part of me that simultaneously feels a very different way”? Multiplicity of personality is the term used to describe the notion that we are all comprised of many internal “parts.” These “parts” all carry various convictions, strengths, intentions, agendas, vulnerabilities, hopes and fears. The abilities to function optimally and to feel most like ourselves come from the awareness of these parts and the willingness to explore them. This family of inner “parts” is what make our personalities diverse and beautifully different from one another. They are the things that characterize our personality and sense of self-identity. Through this conversation, you will gain some understanding of how to identify and become more familiar your own inner “parts”… the pieces that make you uniquely YOU!
