The word “Empowering” is used so frequently in women’s career development programming it is nearly synonymous with Women’s Career Development Programming. While we are given many skills to Empower ourselves what does it mean to “Empower Others?” Our amazing panel will discuss how they Empower Others through their leadership styles. Empowering Others is key to being a good organizational leader. Our speakers will discuss how they Empower Others by:

  • Developing Trust
  • Fostering Authentic Connection
  • Increasing Access to Resources
  • Leveraging Feedback to Improve Their Team

About the Speakers

Wendy Howell, Chief Operating Officer at YGC

Wendy Howell is the COO and Executive Director at YGC Executive Council and a former Chief of Staff at Cisco. By day, she is a tech executive – By night and in every other waking moment, Wendy is a passionate advocate for “all things girl.” She is deeply involved in non-profit as the Managing Director for Girls In Tech, a board member at The Kindness Campaign, Chair of STEM Scouts & Girl Scouts Women of Distinction, Founder’s Circle at DivInc, and the Greater Austin STEM Ecosystem. She considers herself a “rebel with a cause” and is known for her dogged tenacity and creativity to support her passions! Nothing excites her more than creating the next generation of confident and empowered female leaders. These non-profits are the vehicles by which she drives her mission forward.

 

Jacqueline Donaldson, VP Global Product Strategy

Jackie Donaldson is VP of Global Product with Disney Streaming Services; a business unit within The Walt Disney Company’s Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) segment. Jackie joined the company in 2018 as VP of Partner Platform Solutions which managed strategic partnerships with Major League Baseball, Hulu, WWE, Sony, HBO, Verizon, and additional 3rd party clients and partners. Additionally, Jackie led the global media distribution strategy for Disney+, ensuring the service is delivered to consumers in the highest quality, using the best technology, as efficiently as possible. In her current role, she is responsible for the strategic direction of the Disney + Product across all regions, both domestic and international. Jackie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University, Montreal, Canada and a Master of International Management degree from The American Graduate School (Thunderbird) in Arizona.
