Come celebrate WICT Rocky Mountain’s 25th Anniversary!

The celebration will be held on September 24, 2021 at The Cable Center, and includes lunch for in-person attendees, as well as a panel discussion on “25 Years of Wisdom.”

Individual tickets in-person tickets will be available for purchase Sept. 3 – Sept. 15.

Additional Event Information

  • Doors open at 11:30 a.m., with lunch served promptly at noon.
  • Parking at The Cable Center is available for $10 via kiosks in the parking lot, and is not included in the ticket cost.

About the Panelists for 25 Years of Wisdom

After almost ten years in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, Charlene Emory has been in Denver and at Charter for almost four years. She started as a Project Manager on the Video Product team and is now a Senior Design Producer within the Digital Platforms Agency. Charlene sits on many non-profit boards including the WICT Rocky Mountain Chapter where she is the General Programming Chair. Her main goal is to bring people together to network, help build skills, and grow in their professional and personal lives.


Channing Jones is Chief Diversity and Social Responsibility Officer of CSG, working across the company to promote and build effective strategies for equity, diversity and inclusion. She is responsible for environmental, societal, and governance (ESG) initiatives, recommending investments, activities, and programs focused on sustainable, socially aware business practices that incorporate diverse people and perspectives, voices and ideas, while also aligning with CSG’s culture, mission, and values.  Prior to CSG, Jones directed DEI strategy, operations, and outcomes as Diversity and Inclusion Manager at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. She also worked as Diversity Lead and Strategic Planner for the U.S. Department of State and the Diversity Recruitment and Assessment Manager for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. Jones holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh and an M.S. in Public Policy and Management from Heinz College at Carnegie-Mellon University.  


Cathy Kilstrom

Catherine Kilstrom has more than 30 years of experience in the telecommunications and information industry. Prior to her retirement in 2019, she was the Senior Vice President leading Net Promoter System (NPS) deployment to Comcast’s Business Partners worldwide. From 2003 through 2018, Kilstrom was the Senior Vice President of Customer Care for Comcast Cable Corporation’s West Division, serving 7 million customers. In this position, Kilstrom was responsible for customer care strategy and planning, customer service standards, and centralized care operations. Prior to Comcast, she was with AT&T as Vice President of Business Local Services, Senior Vice President of Telephony, and Senior Vice President of Customer Care. Before joining AT&T, Kilstrom worked for US West, where she was Vice President of Marketing and Vice President of National Account Sales and Service. Kilstrom lives in Denver and is a member of the University of Colorado at Denver’s board of advisors. She has numerous recognitions and awards, including: Cablefax Magazine’s “Most Powerful Women in Cable;” Multichannel News’ “Wonder Women” recipient; and WICT Rocky Mountain’s “Woman of the Year Award” in 2005 and  “Lifetime Achievement Award” in 2019. She also presided as WICT Rocky Mountain Chapter President in 2007 and 2008 and was elected to the WICT national board of directors in 2009.


Maria Rothschild’s career began writing for a TV & Cable industry publication and she’s been in telecommunications ever since working for US West, MediaOne, Adelphia, Charter, and Comcast. She also worked for technology start-ups ColdSpark and most recently an edge cloud aggregation company, Mutable. While her industry may have been consistent, her functional leadership positions varied greatly to include Strategic marketing, competitive intelligence, product management, technology deployment, network strategy, and even facility management. She has led teams of product management, program management, agile development, engineering, and process engineering. She also has been actively engaged as a board member or officer in telecommunications volunteer organizations including Women in Cable and Telecommunications where she led the Tech It Out program, Adaptive Spirit which benefits the U.S. Adaptive Ski Team, Rocky Mountain Cable Assn. and Comcast’s Women in Technology. Her passion is to get more women in the technology sector. 


About the Moderator

Tracy Baumgartner, Vice President of Business Process Effectiveness, Comcast Cable

Tracy Baumgartner serves as the Vice President of Business Process Effectiveness for Comcast Cable. With more than 25 years of experience in cable operations, communications, and corporate social responsibility, she brings a 360-degree perspective to her role in building the organization’s environmental sustainability program to achieve the company’s goal of being Carbon Neutral by 2035. 

A long-term advocate of developing women leaders, Baumgartner is an active member of WICT. WICT previously recognized Baumgartner’s leadership, honoring her as 2010 Chapter President of the Year and the 2008 Woman of the Year by its Rocky Mountain chapter.  She is an inaugural member of the Cable Center Ambassador’s Council, supporting its mission of connecting people and ideas to advance innovation.  She will be inducted into the 2021 class of Cable Pioneers in October of 2021.  Baumgartner also engages in her local community, Chairing the Board of Directors for Performing Arts Academy (PAA) in Littleton, Colorado.
