ROCKY MOUNTAIN GOLF INSTITUTE

2019 Program is almost complete!  Thanks to all the participants! Be sure to check out our Best Ball Tournament info August 28.

Have you always wanted to learn golf but were too intimidated to get out on the course? Are you wondering how to get started?  Are you embarrassed because you aren’t knowledgeable in golf etiquette? Are you worried about causing delays on the course play?  No worries – this is where you’ll gain the knowledge to feel comfortable on the course!

The WICT Rocky Mountain Chapter is excited to announce the return of the Rocky Mountain Golf Institute (RMGI). RMGI develops golf knowledge and skills to build the confidence necessary to network, develop business opportunities and connect with executives on the golf course.

The program will help participants understand that it isn’t a matter of how well a potential business partner or executive plays the game. What’s important is the conversation between shots, the way the candidate handles a shanked shot that races into the water, how complementary the person is of another’s good efforts, how the candidate controls his or her temper, welcomes competition, celebrates victory, and handles defeat.

WICT Rocky Mountain has partnered with The Inverness Golf Club to create an interactive learning program focused on relevant topics that support the development of golf knowledge, the golf swing, an individual’s golf game and the opportunity to network with other leaders and executives. The program will include both interactive classroom led discussions, golf lessons on a driving range and practice rounds on a golf course.

“The RMGI was such a fun and valuable experience. I have played golf for a while, but finally learned the proper techniques, best practices, and etiquette. The lessons gave me the confidence to ask golf invitations for work related golf outings. I also found that once my colleagues found out I was taking lessons, they invited me to more golf outings”

“The RMGI is a great resource for networking and boosting my confidence on the golf course. This is a great idea for any woman who feels she’s being left out of opportunities in the business arena! The other participants were very encouraging and I will probably continue to participate in RMGI each year.”

“I thought the instructors did a great job of providing instruction to a group with varying skill level. The info was helpful and applicable to all levels.”
