Beatrice Opoku-Asare

Beatrice Opoku-Asare is currently the Senior Director, Human Resources at Newmont and founding member of The Work-Life Balance HUB, a women’s support group on a journey towards better life balance. Until recently she was Newmont’s Senior Director, Talent Management and Global Inclusion & Diversity and has led in refreshing the company’s Global Inclusion and Diversity Strategy and in establishing Newmont as a thought leader in inclusion and diversity within the mining industry. Beatrice has prior Newmont experiences within Human Resources, Health & Safety and Environmental Management.

A trained environmental scientist, Human Resource professional and a graduate of Yale School of Management’s Women’s Leadership Program, Beatrice also sits on the Advisory Board of The Colorado Diversity Council, Colorado School of Mines’ Diversity, Equity and Access External Advisory Council and is Board Member of International Women in Mining. She has been recognized by Black Enterprise Magazine as an Influential Diversity Officer, 100 Most Inspirational Women in Mining by women in Mining UK and most recently on the Elite 100 list of Influential Black Women Executives by Diversity Woman Media in the United States.
